Greetings! My name is Krysten (Kriss-Ten) Newby, I'm an artist based in rural Suffolk, England.
I am a self confessed O.C.D (Obsessive Creative Disorder) Sufferer. I love to delve in to all areas of creativity, this is why I have no idea what my title is any more...I can't stick to one discipline, so I have recently generalised myself to be 'Krys The Creator'.
I have been doodling and creating for as long as I can remember. Growing up in rural Suffolk, I've always been so inspired by my surroundings consisting of wildlife and miles of gorgeous countryside. Birds & British Wildlife in particular are my number one source of inspiration, you'll see it a lot in my work.
In 2014, I graduated from University Campus Suffolk with a Bachelor’s first class degree in Graphic Communication. Since then, I worked for a few months at a local design studio, then went off on my own to do part time freelance work, which I'm pursuing today.
I guess you're wondering what I get up to when I'm not designing, eh? Well, going back to my admiration for wildlife again - another passion and hobby of mine is taxidermy. I'm an ethical taxidermist (Since 2013) - I combined my design skills with my taxidermy skills and I now manage and own a curios brand by the name of 'Taxidermy Co. UK'
You may think it's irrelevant, but I also suffer from multiple chronic illnesses that affects all aspects of my daily life and makes what I do extremely challenging. I used to bury my head under the sand with it all, but now I just want to raise awareness and make people understand and realise how much of a fighter I am - just because I have life limiting ailments, I am still striving and fighting my hardest every single day to make my dreams come true.
No matter how big or small your dreams are, if you battle on through all of the odds and tackle all of the lemons life throws your way, you'll make it.
